PR Cruisers Posted July 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2012 I am looking for a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel in Fort Lauderdale. In my group there are 3 kids under 5 years old. The shuttle company will require car seats for them?
JohninDC Posted July 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2012 It's a little confusing, but if the shuttle van is not equipped with seat belts (the style used by many rental car companies) then no car seats or booster seats are required. If you are in a standard 15-18 seat passenger van or a taxi that is equipped with seat belts, then car/booster seats are required. Your best bet is to call the hotel front desk, not the 1-800 reservation number, and check with them. Good luck! :)
Algebralovr Posted July 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2012 Also check with the airline you are using. They may prefer/allow car seats on the plane. They may also let you check them for free so that you have them when you arrive. Storage on a shop might be an issue but you might prefer them on port excursions. A number of the shuttes are just 15 pax vans.
