Transportation to Port Canaveral

We've always done one-way car rentals. We usually use Budget or Avis, because they have conveninet locations inside MCO, and locations in Cape Canaveral (Budget) or Cocoa Beach (Avis) that are a mile or two south of the port with free shuttles. You can find discount coupon codes for each of these by using google.

It's a straight 45 minute drive from the airport to the pier. There are tolls, so bring small bills and some change.

Anyone have suggestions of the best way to get from Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral. Shuttle ? Car rental ? or other.

If we fly in the day before, we do a one-way car rental. If we fly in the day of the cruise, we do a shuttle, such as Cocoa Beach Shuttle. On the way back to the airport after the cruise we do a shuttle.
