Port to Bangkok transfer question

I am in the process of booking a group transfer from the port to Bangkok and returning the next day with Oriental Escape. All is going well, and they have good reviews and respond quickly to emails, but each time I ask about paying a deposit rather than the full amount, my question is not answered, and I am still given the invoice for the full amount.

 

Has anyone else used this company and had a similar problem? Is this the normal practice? All the the other tours we have arranged just require a deposit.

when are you arranging for this trip? For both Beijing/Xian and for Bangkok tours/transfers we have paid for deposit but will have to pay full charges several weeks before the trip in Oct. 2012. Might try posting in the Trip Advisor forum also.

Our transfer is in December, so not sure if that is significant.
