Toulon to Cannes?

Is it possible to get to Cannes from the Toulon port by ourselves? Any recommendations? Thanks!

There is pretty decent train service (fast TGV trains) between Toulon and Cannes and it takes about 1:15 each way. If you want to get an idea of the schedules just use the raileurope.com web site (the French SNCF site is somewhat more difficult). We assume you have a reason why you want to go to Cannes so will leave it at that :)

 

Of course the other option is to simply rent a car and drive but we do understand that many do not like to drive on port days.

You can take the train. The train runs up and down the coast from Monaco to Marsaille(sp?). I am sure someone can tell you how to get to the train station in Toulon but the train station in Cannes is a few blocks from the water (behind one of the big hotels). I stayed in Nice but used the train alot as it is really convenient.
