New NCL policies setting me off...

So we have cruised with NCL through the casino department over the last three years. And we have recently been booking holiday dates so we have to book way in advance. Sometimes we have had to book quickly because one of hte rooms we need will open up on a weekend when the casino is not open. In the past, the casino was able to take over reservations booked when they were closed or not available to offer the booking.

 

Apparently this is not the case anymore? We are sailing later this year and had to book our rooms out of hte casion booking since there were only two available and the casino could not do the booking. When we called to have the rooms transferred into the casion, we were told there is a new booking policy that prevents the casino from taking our reservation over, which apparently means we get no discounts or credits from them.

 

I am fairly frustrated at this new policy, as we obviously would have done things entirely differently if we had known about it. We have had some issues before with quotes changing from the casino department, but have had mixed results.

 

has anyone else experienced somethign like this? At this point just given how things were handled it is pretty frustrating to have this new policy that just removes all of your "comps." If this happened in vegas I don't know that I'd frequent that hotel again. So maybe it's time to look into other cruise casinos?

 

What do other casino guests think about NCL's way of handling reservations?

I want ot make sure I'm not just steamed about what's gone on, cause it seems really irritating. And we're a party of 11 gamblers who spend every night together inthe casino, I'm just surprised the casino doesn't do a little more to fix unhappy players.
