Breakfast on our balcony

We had been planning on taking advantage of our balcony to have breakfast there a few times. However, I just read on an old thread that it can be so windy when the ship is moving that things can blow away.

What has been past cruisers' experience with this?

We just returned from the July 28 sailing. We typically had our breakfast at La Veranda, but we did pre-order room service breakfast one morning when we had a particularly early tour departure. We had no problems at all with wind.

In most cases, you'll already be moored/anchored by breakfast time, so you don't have to worry about eating while moving. We did a circumnavigation of Taha'a our second morning on the ship (I think that was around 6 or 7 am, and we were probably anchored by 8 am for those or us taking morning excursions), so you might want to plan on eating in La Veranda or Le Grill if you were going to have an early breakfast that day. Alternately, you can just have the room service tray placed on the table in your room if the balcony seems particularly windy on a particular morning.

Enjoy your trip!
