Celebrity is charging $101. pp each way. thanks or your help ! While it sounds like a huge amount of money, it's not as horrible as it sounds. Gatwick is 20 miles south of London, Harwich is 75 miles NE of London. I really doubt you'd be able to find a limo or van service for anywhere near that for two people If you're comfortable with your luggage, the following is also possible train from Gatwick to Farringdon station; subway (or taxi) from Farringdon to Liverpool St Station train from Liverpool St to Manningtree; train from Mainningtree to Harwich International (which is the cruise/ferry terminal) Also, ask in your roll call if there's anyone else doing the same thing. In any case ,you'll need to allow 3ish hours for the transfer
handfordr Posted August 5, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2012 As Scottbee says $100 per person sounds a good deal to me from Gatwick. Van shared shuttles are not really done in the UK because they cannot compete with public transport The only alternative is by rail which will require at least 3 different trains including a journey by London Underground across London, you would do well to work out a route less tha $50 for this. Riise Posted August 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2012 If your willing to drive its not actually the worst route, depending on what time you go. Just north on the M25 over the bridge then up the A12 and onto the A120. Can be done in about 1.5hours. If however your likely to be driving during rush hour don't bother as the A12 is one of the worst roads in the UK then.
