Group to Maho

What is the best way to get a group of about 20 to Maho?

The Easiest way is probably walk up to the Taxi Dispatch stand and grab two directly to Maho. $8 per person, each way.

We are thinking about spending the day on our own in St. Maarten, and want to make a trip to watch the planes...how far is it from the port??? Is from 12-2 the best time?? Any other MUST see places anyone would recommend??

It is very easy to rent car and drive in St. Martin. We always rent from Coastal. They are located right at the pier. For $5 - they will give you a GPS for the day - all the beaches and sights preprogrammed.

 

Maho is neat to see for a little awhile, but there are definately other things to see and do. It can get very expensive taking taxis. Marigot is nice - Ft. Louis has a beautiful view and is very easy to get to. We spent the day at Le Galion beach - beautiful beach - maybe 20 people there.

 

At $8pp each way to Maho - the cost is going to be much more than renting cars and will only allow you to see one sight.

The prices have certainly changed, but I believe that my thoughts still hold true.

Drinking and driving laws are strict especially on the French side of the island. This is something that must also be considered when thinking of renting a vehicle.

Sorry, I didn't see anyone mention drinking. I'm definately not advocating drinking and driving. I'm just suggesting what is the most budget friendly for a group.
