Sheraton Old San Juan - any recent stays there?

Hello All!

We have pre/post reservations at Marriott Stellaris, but thinking Sheraton OSJ might be more convenient for all the things we want to do post cruise for our 1.5 days in San Juan.

Trip Advisor reviews seem to be hit and miss. We are not expecting luxury - just a convenient "home base". I see a lot of comments about musty rooms, unclean, etc.

Anyone stayed there recently that may have some newer information on conditions?

Thank you so much!

I have no Idea what people see when they go there, we have stayed there 3 times. Most recectly this past Oct. for 2 nights . We had 3 rooms and no one had a problem. Its a lovely hotel. It may be a little older but its clean , great location. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. I know Oct was a few months back but I doubt its went downhill that fast in only a few months. :):)

We stayed at the Sherton OSJ in March. It's a nice basic hotel in a great location. Our room was very clean...maybe a hint musty but I figured it was the difference between their humidity and my desert living. We will most likely stay there again when we return next year.

Thanks! That's what I thought. Some people are overly critical at times. I have experienced "musty" rooms in Florida plenty of times. It's all about the humidity. I think we will keep the reservation here for post cruise - it will be more convenient and I will save on several taxi trips from the Condado area. I also think I read it's walking distance from Cafe Mallorca (sp?), so that's a plus!
