Rare www3traveler Posted March 17, 2013 #2126 Share Posted March 17, 2013 Officer's Dinner? I'm intrigued, what's that? This s my first NCL experience. What night is it held? How much? Can anyone do this? Details, please!:D:p I can not tell you exactly how the Officer's Dinner will work on the Breakaway if they will do one. You go to the Guest Services Desk and sign up ( kind of like a drawing). If you are selected, you will send a letter saying which person will be hosting the table, when and where the dining will be and what time. On other Norwegian ships, sometime during the cruise an Officer will host a table in one of the main dining rooms. There is no charge for the dinner. It is very interesting evening. Just because it says "Officer", it does NOT mean the Captain. I have been hosted by the Internet Manager, the ships' Head Security Officer, the Communications Officer and the Staff Captain. It is "resort casual'. Mandy

gambee Posted March 17, 2013 #2128 Share Posted March 17, 2013 Hi all. We will be on the June 2nd sailing and I'm having a hard time locating our cabin # 11734. If possible I would love to see a visual with that neat red circle around the cabin :).Hint, hint Gambee!! :). Many thanks !!!! In the effort of not upsetting anyone here, I was hopping no one else had asked for help locating cabins :D lol. That said, once asked if I can do I will help other users, hopefully most members won't mind :) one more cabin location picture on the forum. Anyway, here is your cabin. You seem to be located on a non-hump cabin, the view downward will/might be affected by the open deck below (which by the way I am hoping this deck will be open for all guests, no word on that yet). Other than that it seems to be a nice cabin, I have a cabin with a similar location on my cruise next week :).
xenite2525 Posted March 17, 2013 #2129 Share Posted March 17, 2013 I'm with Krystal waters, I will be heading to the spa for spa passes. Me and DH love the quiet time in the spa instead of up top. After that, taking in the sights of the new ship and taking lots of photos to share on CC. LOL
pyrrhus Posted March 17, 2013 #2130 Share Posted March 17, 2013 And will all those kids be in their cabin doing homework? I wonder if the parents will be reimbursing the school district the cost associated with the free public education they are missing? Enough of my rant... back to dreaming about cruising. Not all kids are school age, schools tend to have some weird vacation times, even in these large metroplexes. Here in DFW a couple districts or private schools seem to have a fall break which is weird to me. Foreign kids that may be off. Also, don't forget the home schooled. LICRUISEAHOLICS Posted March 17, 2013 #2131 Share Posted March 17, 2013 Hoping someone can assist with this question... My husband recently began wearing an insulin pump that automatically delivers his insulin. His doctor told him it should not be passed through a X-ray machine. We emailed NCL but all they said is they will make note of it. Does anyone happen to use an insulin pump? How do you manage going through the X-ray machines and customs on the islands?? Should we bring a note from the doctor? Would that be enough? I would hate for him to go through the hassle of dealing with a pat down every time he comes and goes .... xenite2525 Posted March 17, 2013 #2132 Share Posted March 17, 2013 And it appears, I am 2 floors directly above the red circle!!!! I can't wait to enjoy this cruise. I usually sail on the Dawn but I could not pass up this first sailing. NCL has always been our favorite and we have never had a unfavorable experience. I think most of us really appreciate it. Yeah, I agree, I have no problem with him doing it, and kudos to him for taking the time & effort...just that I am continually amazed at how many people are apparently unable to look at a floorplan, find their room, then look at an exterior photo and count back 15 or 20 cabins from the end . I mean, no offense to those who have been posting these requests, but seriously, am I really the only one thinking this here???

cabincop Posted March 17, 2013 #2141 Share Posted March 17, 2013 The deck plans don’t reveal too much about the casino, just that it fills a tremendous portion of deck 7: The renderings, however, provide a lot of exciting detail. Check out this image of 678 Ocean Place (the casino is on the middle deck):
cabincop Posted March 17, 2013 #2142 Share Posted March 17, 2013 just a girl thing but can't you see up the dresses of women who go up and down the stairs? maybe this was an early drawing of the casino and they changed it?

Rare insidecabin Posted March 17, 2013 #2144 Share Posted March 17, 2013 Thank you, that does seem like a big difference (although none of the numbers add up, exactly). Where did you find them? The NCL site seems to be very confusing lately. Depending on the pathway I take I get to a couple of different pages describing the staterooms, (and both of them show a mix of queens/kings for the minis), but neither one has cabin/balcony breakdowns or anything called "amenity descriptions". I'm sure there are other pathways/pages I haven't found yet :) The UK booking system has the old style cabin amenity lists (some one or a TA will have these avaialbe more easily through a direct URL or listings) My bad on the sizes a typo on the regular total the numbers should be M6 322:294/118 M* 236:204/32 here are 3 cabins M6 (note 8136 and 8736 look to have smaller balconies but desc says the same) Breakaway 8736 Mini-Suite With Larger Balcony 8 Standard Capacity - 4 , Cabin Includes Telephone , Sitting Area , Clothes Line In Bathroom , Forward Section , Balcony Square Footage (118) , Pullman Bed , Convertible King Size Bed , Mini Bar , Convertible Single Sofa Bed , Tea And Coffee Maker , Shower , Private Balcony , Foldable Sleeper/Playpen , Floor To Ceiling Sliding Glass Doors , Sprinklers , Refrigerator , Hair Dryer , Safety Deposit Box , Television , Pier Forward , Bed Near Balcony Door , Desk , Starboard Side , Internet Access , Starboard Side , Cabin Square Footage (204) , Total Square Footage (322) M9 Breakaway 14770 Spa Mini-Suite With Balcony 14 Standard Capacity - 3 , Cabin Includes Bed Near Balcony Door , Hair Dryer , Balcony Square Footage (32) , Cabin Square Footage (204) , Total Square Footage (236) , Telephone , Television , Mini Bar , Shower , Safety Deposit Box , Sprinklers , Private Balcony , Refrigerator , Desk , Tea And Coffee Maker , Foldable Sleeper/Playpen , Convertible King Size Bed , Starboard Side , Floor To Ceiling Sliding Glass Doors , Internet Access , Convertible Single Sofa Bed , Clothes Line In Bathroom , Midship Section M2 Breakaway 12836 Family Mini-Suite With Balcony 12 Standard Capacity - 4 , Cabin Includes Telephone , Starboard Side , Convertible King Size Bed , Midship Section , Floor To Ceiling Sliding Glass Doors , Clothes Line In Bathroom , Hair Dryer , Tea And Coffee Maker , Television , Convertible Single Sofa Bed , Cabin Square Footage (204) , Sitting Area , Pier Midship , Safety Deposit Box , Balcony Square Footage (32) , Foldable Sleeper/Playpen , Pullman Bed , Mini Bar , Sprinklers , Internet Access , Total Square Footage (236) , Desk , Bathtub , Bed Near Balcony Door , Refrigerator , Shower , Private Balcony NOTe the spa mini is not showing a tub. Contact the company that makes the pump and see what their labeling says. Many times the doctors do not know all of the information about these tyes of things. The company should be able to help you with all of these questions. They should have a customer service number you can call.

That's like listing a home for sale and including the square footage of the back patio area onto the total square footage. Well....as you can see below, the drawing is starting to look a whole lot like the real thing, glass steps and all. Now whether or not those are frosted I have no idea, but I can see how those below might have a bit of a "view"...
