Officer's Dinner? I'm intrigued, what's that? This s my first NCL experience. What night is it held? How much? Can anyone do this? Details, please!:D:p

I can not tell you exactly how the Officer's Dinner will work on the Breakaway if they will do one. You go to the Guest Services Desk and sign up ( kind of like a drawing). If you are selected, you will send a letter saying which person will be hosting the table, when and where the dining will be and what time.

On other Norwegian ships, sometime during the cruise an Officer will host a table in one of the main dining rooms. There is no charge for the dinner. It is very interesting evening. Just because it says "Officer", it does NOT mean the Captain. I have been hosted by the Internet Manager, the ships' Head Security Officer, the Communications Officer and the Staff Captain. It is "resort casual'.

Hi all. We will be on the June 2nd sailing and I'm having a hard time locating our cabin # 11734. If possible I would love to see a visual with that neat red circle around the cabin :).

Hint, hint Gambee!! :). Many thanks !!!!

In the effort of not upsetting anyone here, I was hopping no one else had asked for help locating cabins :D lol. That said, once asked if I can do I will help other users, hopefully most members won't mind :) one more cabin location picture on the forum.

Anyway, here is your cabin. You seem to be located on a non-hump cabin, the view downward will/might be affected by the open deck below (which by the way I am hoping this deck will be open for all guests, no word on that yet). Other than that it seems to be a nice cabin, I have a cabin with a similar location on my cruise next week :).

And will all those kids be in their cabin doing homework? I wonder if the parents will be reimbursing the school district the cost associated with the free public education they are missing? Enough of my rant... back to dreaming about cruising.

Not all kids are school age, schools tend to have some weird vacation times, even in these large metroplexes. Here in DFW a couple districts or private schools seem to have a fall break which is weird to me. Foreign kids that may be off. Also, don't forget the home schooled.

Hoping someone can assist with this question... My husband recently began wearing an insulin pump that automatically delivers his insulin. His doctor told him it should not be passed through a X-ray machine. We emailed NCL but all they said is they will make note of it. Does anyone happen to use an insulin pump? How do you manage going through the X-ray machines and customs on the islands?? Should we bring a note from the doctor? Would that be enough? I would hate for him to go through the hassle of dealing with a pat down every time he comes and goes ....

And it appears, I am 2 floors directly above the red circle!!!!

I can't wait to enjoy this cruise. I usually sail on the Dawn but I could not pass up this first sailing. NCL has always been our favorite and we have never had a unfavorable experience.

Thank you so much. So glad I asked. I appreciate your thoughts on the cabin choice also. :)

JMHO but gambee hun if you want to help people look for their cabins go ahead we do have freedom of speech and press and all that stuff lol. I think most of us really appreciate it.

Yeah, I agree, I have no problem with him doing it, and kudos to him for taking the time & effort...just that I am continually amazed at how many people are apparently unable to look at a floorplan, find their room, then look at an exterior photo and count back 15 or 20 cabins from the end . I mean, no offense to those who have been posting these requests, but seriously, am I really the only one thinking this here???

He will need a doctor's note and they will have to manually pat him down.

The deck plans don’t reveal too much about the casino, just that it fills a tremendous portion of deck 7:

The renderings, however, provide a lot of exciting detail. Check out this image of 678 Ocean Place (the casino is on the middle deck):

Thank you, that does seem like a big difference (although none of the numbers add up, exactly). Where did you find them?

The NCL site seems to be very confusing lately. Depending on the pathway I take I get to a couple of different pages describing the staterooms, (and both of them show a mix of queens/kings for the minis), but neither one has cabin/balcony breakdowns or anything called "amenity descriptions". I'm sure there are other pathways/pages I haven't found yet :)

The UK booking system has the old style cabin amenity lists

(some one or a TA will have these avaialbe more easily through a direct URL or listings)

My bad on the sizes a typo on the regular total the numbers should be

M6 322:294/118

M* 236:204/32

here are 3 cabins

Contact the company that makes the pump and see what their labeling says. Many times the doctors do not know all of the information about these tyes of things. The company should be able to help you with all of these questions. They should have a customer service number you can call.

Ah, see that's lame, they have no business including the square footage of the balcony with the total cabin square footage. That's like listing a home for sale and including the square footage of the back patio area onto the total square footage. Terrible:(

Hi, we are on the 28th April sailing from Rotterdam, does anyone know when the entertainment / dining can be pre booked.

Normally before its been opened up 45 days before ?

THanks

I did read somewhere you could call and get reservations now but you couldn't do it on line yet for your cruise.

just a girl thing but can't you see up the dresses of women who go up and down the stairs? maybe this was an early drawing of the casino and they changed it?

Well....as you can see below, the drawing is starting to look a whole lot like the real thing, glass steps and all. Now whether or not those are frosted I have no idea, but I can see how those below might have a bit of a "view"...

Not at all, but then again Gambee seems willing to keep doing it, so more power to everyone.
