Hi Portia,

Nice one, I was about to start looking for the room when I noticed you said studio :D, not much I can do there, lol.

Happy sailings.

I'm new to CC but was wondering about 13706. Looks like hull balcony. I know where it is on the ship but am wondering if its an extra window in the bathroom or hull balcony.

Dear English 101,

There is some speculation and photos focusing on 13706 and the balcony issue in this thread. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1777842&highlight=13706 Also search "13706" on the Norwegian forum for more. As well as the sister cabin 13106, and on lower decks if so inclined.

After looking at some of those pictures, I do have some concerns though. I posted (about a hundred pages ago!) that the casino being open to the atrium might create a problem with cigarette smoke. I see that some others are worried about the same thing. I've walked past casino's on some ships and have nearly been knocked down by the smell. Hope they have some mechanism to mitigate that issue.

The Epic has a similar set up and I didn't notice the smell of smoke while at Taste or walking around. You could smell smoke in the casino however. There are NCL employees making sure people smoking don't move out of the casino area. I saw people trying to smoke near one of the atrium balconies by the casino and they were promptly asked to move.

I hope this helps you out!

New Youtube video of Breakaway in Eemshaven. I really think she is a beautiful ship.

I'm happy to see lights on the side of the ship, illuminating "Norweigen Breakaway" (at 1:15 in the video), with Peter Max out of the limelight.

I know this might be impossible to know but......When docked in Bermuda what side of the ship will be facing land? Thanks.

There's no way for us to know ahead of time. The Breakaway's captain could go in forward, or back in. While in Bermuda, several lifeboats are lowered for testing. Obviously, the side they're planning to test has to be facing the water, not the dock. Which side will vary from week to week.

IMO the view is lovely either way.

Yes, I agree. She is indeed beautiful. Nice video. I guess this is her leaving Eemshaven for Bremerhaven, Germany.

The Breakaway is finishing sea trials and will be heading into Bremerhaven, Germany today.

Thank you for the update. Been watching AIS for the last two days and she was out of range. Just noticed she's back on the map - and came right here for the latest info.

Bremerhaven has a lot of webcams so I will be searching. If anyone finds something, please pass it on!

Hi all! I'm booked for June 30th and am so excited to be on this beautiful new ship.

Just a quick question....since we'll be docked in Bermuda for 3 days will there be a time each day that we'll be required to be back on the ship?

Nope, you can go on and off the ship as often as you'd like all night long.

Assuming, of course, that they have the dock repaired. We are booked on the June 23rd sailing and are worried. Anybody know how late they will run tenders if the dock is not finished?

Love the way the lights glow on the upper decks.

Great find. I think that this has to be my favorite! On her own - no tugs.
