Eel and others,

I just did the transatlantic, and can confirm that O'Sheehan's is open 24 hrs, with a comp lunch/dinner menu available until about 11pm, then only bar food. They do have some breakfast items on the menu during breakfast hours. Room service breakfast is available. There are hot dog stands and a takeout window for Ocean Blue on the Waterfront. And you can get coffee and sweets at Carlo's. Also comp coffee & pastries in casino in the mornings for the diehards. Wasabi & Shanghai weren't open for lunch on our cruise. Unless you're in the Haven, I think that covers it.

We had lunch at Shanghai's on the transatlantic. Items were $3.50-$5. We had pot stickers, chow fun and noodle soup for $12.50.

We were issued a OBC by NCL at the time of our booking. Do you know if

this credit would affect that credit. I have read stories where OBC's just

disappear from peoples accounts.

No, it should not interrupt any obc you already have. We had plenty already and still got this additional 100.00 many many months ago. Go for it, it is so worth it.

So if we are past final payment, it's too late to get this credit? Bummer :(

Don't know for sure. It's worth a shot to find out though. Worth about $100 :p:D

It seems some people are complaining that they were not able to apply the $100 promo. I'm thinking maybe they are cruising soon. It's seems like those of us that has a ways to go(i.e. before final payment) haven't had any problems getting it added.

Good Luck!

Yes, Shanghai's was certainly open for lunch every day. I'm pretty sure that the Sushi place was as well.

No it was not:(. That was the first thing I did when I got to NY, so my feet didn't have time to recover & they hurt almost for the whole week I was there:eek:. But I just pushed through the pain & had a great time there. You must go to china town, I can say that was my favorite part about my trip, oh ya I can't forget the Toys R Us in Times Square:D

For anyone visiting Ny...

China Town: go to Wo Hop ...there are two, go to the downstairs restaurant...best Chinese food you'll eve have.

For cocktails and brunch and an AMAZING view of the Empire State Building , go to 230 fifth roof top bar http://www.230-fifth.com/ ( the Museum of Sex is across the street if you're interested)

Also in the flat iron district, visit Eataly. http://www.eataly.com/

Enjoy NY :)

To Gambee and all other fellow cruisers leaving for Bermuda tomorrow, I

wish you good weather and a wonderful time. I have enjoyed this thread

and can't wait for your return to hear all the details. Have a great trip.

Elaine

Actually I am in the 5/19 sailing :), but thank you, we are looking forward for great weather and hoping that the dock is complete as well.

Gambee sorry about that. I don't know why I thought you were leaving

today. That means you and Shaun will be sailing together. Between the

two of you I can't wait to hear all the reviews and maybe lots of pics.

No worries, Xena is also on board with us, I think she might also be doing a review.
