Everything Breakaway!(LIVE on 4/28)

I noticed some noodles in the table next to us in Teppa. I think they are part of one main dinner.

Did the slides a few minutes ago. They r open until 10:30, not one person but me riding them. Did a bunch of runs in a few minutes.

Bistro was good, best service by far.

Thank you everyone who is updating us while sailing. Gambee, I am especially excited for your upcoming review on Breakaway, because that will help me decide whether we do breakaway or wait for Quantum!! Really looking for your comparison to Allure. The slides/ropes course is what would make it for us, esp since we have kids 8 and 5. But w/ our 8yo boy having ADHD, it would not be pretty if we had to wait for an hour or even 1/2 for meals!!

Also, if you have a chance, am curious about the M1's on deck 10, esp 10916. Room and Balcony look great. We need HC, but really bummed that even though rooms look huge and have a sofa bed, they will only take 3, not 4 in the room. May have to move to an S6, which would be challenging for my DH. Surprised that no aft HC will take four. :(

BTW, for anyone with kids on this sailing, would love to hear how the children's area compares to RCI's adventure ocean, and what the overall feel was for the kids. Thanks so much, and cannot wait to hear more!

Thank you soo much!

No way!! That would be right up my alley, I'm so jealous!!!

Just friend requested your cruise account on FB, I saw you had some stuff on there that hasn't been posted on CC yet! :D

Have fun, I'm really excited for this review!

This sounds like a very good deal. Once you purchase this on line, is it a hassle once you get on board your ship? Can you please provide some details on what the procedure is? Thanks!:)

No, not at all. You just print out the vouchers after you purchase them and take them to the casino desk and there is no problem at all. Very easy no problem at all and so worth it.

Thats where they(noodles) have been when we have done teppanyaki.

Just odrer a portion to share with the group in addition to your main order.

I find I have to do two orders anyway, the regular single portion does not fill me up.

Must be something wrong with me bc I could care less about the square footage of my balcony...lol..

However, trying to read back 330+ pages....frustrating.

Does anyone have any info/pics on the athletic center, waterslides and kid stuff? Any feedback? Am I correct to assume mini golf, the rock wall, trampoline and planks ect don't have an additional fee???

Party of 30+, half being kids wants to know!!!

I never noticed the HC rooms only sleeping 3 but now I keep hearing this! It's really upsetting to me so I can only imagine what it's like for you!! The other people talking about this have also mentioned upgrading to an s6....NOT FAIR NCL! How dare you take advantage! If a family of 4 needs to stay in a suite because they are HC, they should be able to pay less!!

I just realized we haven't heard anything about the kids areas!!

I just realized we haven't heard anything about the kids areas!!

This is probably because most kids are still in school and unless you home school or have pre school children, they most likely won't be on for a few more weeks. I however, usually take mine out of school (bad mom, I know) for vacation to save money because school vacation times are far more expensive. I arrange it ahead of time with their teachers and usually make them do various projects- you can incorporate math, science, nature, history all in a cruise vacation if you're creative enough! But I am guessing that is why we haven't heard too much from reviewers on the kids' areas. We don't sail until November, so I won't be of much help unless you sail after us. I am interested in the teen club for my girls and what it's like for the 3-5yr old group as well.

Noob question: If you take advantage of this $25/$50 casino promotion, are there restrictions on cashing out? Any reason I couldn't play $25 and, after losing it, cash out the remaining $25? Or even just cash out the $50?

Also, can onboard credit be used for casino chips? Looked on the NCL site and failed to find anything.

I saw a video on YouTube for HC 10316. I believe that's right next to 10916. The video only showed a chair and not a couch. Also, if you check NCL's Website it now states the M1's only will hold 2 passengers. Here's the video for 10316:

I guess NCL changed it, b/c about a month ago 10916 slept 3. It is frustrating: to be honest, I dont know of any hc that sleep four on Breakaway. Will call NCL rep to discuss. Let you know what i find out!

Great, I'd appreciate knowing what they say. I'm sure it only sleeps 2 but I'm confused as to why it still says there is a sofa in the room when the video clearly shows only a chair.

The problem I see is for those that already booked thinking it slept 3 and has a sofa. What will they do once they're on board?

One of the stipulations on those slotplay coupons is that you MUST play the entire $50. It is only for slot machines, not casino tables. You can play it in any increment. Example: play $10 at a machine, $1 per pull, after 10 pulls, cash out. The machine will print a voucher for your winnings. That voucher is good for cash or turn it into chips. You can do this for your entire $50 slotplay card. Just keep cashing out vouchers instead of playing the machine until you have no credits left. Your winnings are yours to keep.

I went through every deck plan, and confirmed this with an NCL rep. And this rep was so nasty! When I asked her if any HC rooms slept four, she said she needed to know when I wanted to travel. When I said I first need to know if you can accommodate us, could you please tell me the answer, she said go through the deck plans and look for a square with a + sign. When I said I did but couldn't find any, she said, "well I guess you have your answer!" Of course then I asked to speak to a supervisor, and she hung up on me. Nice first impression.

There are NO, ZERO HC rooms on Breakaway that sleep four, even though there are several that would definitely accommodate a sofabed.

There are two suites: haven 16128, a HC S5, and 13106, a HC S7 that sleeps three

There are FOUR inside cabins: 13471, 13479, 9461, 9455 I2, that sleep three

This is really upsetting to those families who really need HC accessible rooms due to wheelchairs, etc... We can get by in an S6 if we had to b/c husband is in walker, not wheelchair. But this is ridiculous. And sad. Will let you know if i hear more as I look more into why.

There are (4) handicapped-accessible Family Oceanview cabins on deck 5 that allow quad occupancy: 5138, 5140, 5738, 5740

I have pics of children area and info. Last night while in jacusis the kids camp ventured into h2O pirate hunting. They seemed to be having a blast. They captured a blast and keep on going throughout the ship doing other activities.

My comparison from the Allure and this one? I think it will surprise most. :D.

Catching the bus to horseshoe in a few.

Our balcony is going to get a lot of use since we're bringing our kids (their first cruise, just like yours!) that's going to be where my husband and I hang out, late night, because our kids are probably going to be exhausted, I don't want to pay extra to keep them in kids club late besides, 10:30 is late enough! It will be nice or the 4 of us to spread out on the balcony during the day and I'm SO looking forward to having breakfast out there every morning, and possibly a few lunches and dinners. Also looks like I can catch some rays out there without worrying about chair hoggers! Lol

I am also VERY interested in the splash academy. As far as I know the other things you mentioned are included in the cruise fare. I haven't read otherwise.
