Recent Wyndham Riverfront NOLA people?

When I first started researching hotels to stay at, I found Wyndham. We've stayed at Wyndham before (in South Beach, Florida and loved them).

 

However, after reading some reviews several months ago, there seem to be people saying that the hotel was not "as nice" as it was rated. They said that the hotel is charging as if it was a higher luxury hotel, but it was a lower class hotel.

 

I just read recent reviews, which seem to be all good with friendly, caring staff and a nice hotel.

 

Has anyone been there recently that can report back on their opinions?

 

It seems to be conveniently located to the Riverwalk and the port.

 

Also, does anyone know if they are on LMT or any other sites to get it at a reduced rate?

We are also looking at Hotel options...also saw the reports on this hotel...we were very surprized after staying at this chain several times in the past :confused:
