Port or Starboard New England

Hi I have been allocated a port cabin on Carribean Princess on a New England cruise Oct 6th. I am guessing the best views from Nova Scotia to New York will be on the starboard side. Can anyone advise and do you think the cruise line might change our balcony cabin on request?

While out at sea travelling between ports you are far enough out that there is nothing to see other than maybe seeing the faint outline of the land, although you will not be able to distinguish anything on the land. As Shogun noted when entering a port there is usually something to see on both sides and what you miss entering a port you will see as you exit.
