Need help burning blu ray poject to dvd

Recommended Posts

We recently filmed our cruise and rendered it in 720p

Sony Vegas Pro 11

File size = 6 gb

How do I burn a Sony DVD Architect Blu-ray project to DL dvd, without giving up quality?

We tried burning on a DL DVD, but the software wanted to compress it, because the resolution is higher than DVD specifications allow

thanks in advance

It really depends on what you want to do with the DVD disk once you burn it....

If you plan on playing the DVD on a DVD player to a TV, you will have to render it at 480; that's what dvd's are.... here's alink on how to do that...

If, on the other hand if you just want to create an mp4 file to play on another PC then render it as the mp4 to your hard drive, ans then just burn that file to the dvd... no need to use Architect in this case...

Did that help?

Aloha,

I use Pinnacle Studio and I burn AVCHD format videos on a standard DVD which can hold 1080p of about 35 minutes. DL DVD can hold twice that. It plays fine on a BluRay player connected to my TV.

I do not have a BluRay burner on my PC.
