bathrooms in Mo bay

I heard that they "The locals" in mo bay use 5 gal. buckets for toilets. and it is real smelly there? I have not been to Mo bay in a long time I wonder if it has gotten worse? Should we be concerned? Do they have clean water or should we just stay on the ship? We dont want to get sick.

It's a city. There are bars, restaurants, hotels, shopping centers, gas stations, grocery stores, etc. While it's not pristine, I can assure you, they have flush toilets.
