do the computers on the ships have USB hookups? I have a USB key that I could bring and store the photos on if I could somehow upload them to the computers on the ship. This would be even easier than bringing my laptop or buying new cards. I figured out my camera will hold about 250, but since I'm minoring in Photo at my college, I know I will want to take a lot more than that.

The computers are locked away and you can´t access them. NO USB, CD, DVD, ....

You can only use them for Internet.

$100 is pretty steep... did that number depend on the number of nights of the cruise? I think I may still bring my laptop to just upload pictures to and post them on the web when I get home.... I think I'd rather spend the money on a massage or foo-foo drinks! :p

I don't think it's steep at all. I guess my obsession to be connected to the internet superseded the likely event that I would donate $100.00 to the casino, or some other thing.;)

For someone who is a "moderate" to "heavy" user, I suppose 100.00 isn't all that bad. But considering most hotels offer free internet ports, and that I'd be using it V ERY sparingly (I didnt pay to surf the net more than a few minutes a night), too steep for me....

Lately I spend all of my internet time on here :D , so when I'm on the hsip I won't need to be on here... although I could update you guys, but my honey has been hyperventilating everytime he thinks about how much this trip is going to cost... I couldn't bear to tell him that I'm spending $100 on the internet.... my biggest concern with the laptop is to just have a place to dump our digital pictures and video onto.... besides since its my work computer I would feel compelled to chekc email while I on the ship and that would be very, very bad....

I think I prefer to have a facial or have a nice bottle of wine rather than pay that. I can always go and check a couple of times for the "nominal" charge for the lounges.....

One other thing, if you can, bring a couple of blank CD writables. On our last cruise, yes everyone put it on my laptop, but then when we got back I was the only one who had them, so now I bring a couple of blank CDW's and give it to them right there.
