babysteps Posted September 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2012 JanCruz suggested re-posting this thread so she could submit it to "the boss" for an answer. Thanks Jan! question: Is there a standard policy for the amount (if any) of a "hold" placed on the credit/ debit/ charge card registered for onboard purchases? O info & actual experience seems to vary, a sample includes 'none', 'daily balance +$1', 'one time $100' and 'one time $500'. Thanks for any clarification! Rprbp24 Posted September 2, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2012 OK...so...just to clarify...when I go to the cruise port to check in, they will place a $100 hold on my debit/credit card. Once I begin to purchase items, those charges will also be held...correct? Thanks so much for getting this answer!! Pam
