Has anyone done this or know how much a taxi would be to/from the port to the airport

Can't help with taxi but we did it as a Princess excursion a few years back. Concorde is in a hangar at the airport which isn't too close to the port. It was very cool to go in it and sit in the seats. Tiny tiny windows.

Government rates posted at GA airport show the fare from Deep Water Harbour to Grantley Adams airport is now US$23 each way for up to four (4) in the cab.

 

If you don't use the organised guys at the terminal and seek a driver outside the compound, the fare will probably drop to US$15.

Thank you for your info. I'm also still trying to find out the hours the experience is open. Their website doesn't say and they have not responded to my emails asking. I'll be there on Sunday December 30th.

 

If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.

They're open every day 9AM-6PM.

 

Admission is US$20 last time I checked.

Glad to hear it's open 7 days a week. I was a little worried since I needed a Sunday and it was during a holiday week. Plus when I check a port schedule, there are only 2 smaller ships in port - less than 200 passengers between them.

I've been in email contact with a taxi/tour driver and he just found out that it will be closed on Sunday to the general public - at least on the Sunday we are there. It will be open to the ships scheduled tour. Our driver asked if we could also be allowed in and was told no - only the passengers going with the ship's excursion.

 

Disappointing and now we need to decide if we want to go with the ship or figure out something else to do.
