If part of the price difference you are referring to relates to the $1000 price increase then the answer is no. All that would happen if you upgrade or downgrade before final payment would be that the cabin price would be changed to the current price of the new cabin (not the price that existed in the past) and your original deposit would be applied against that. If you've already paid for the cabin in full then you would have to pay extra, or get a refund, for the difference between the current price of the new cabin and what you've actually paid so far.

 

Some travel agents also charge a fee for any changes or cancellations so if you are booked with a TA that charges this then you might get hit with such a charge. Also, if your original booking has any incentive attached to it, such as OBC, then that might be changed if you change to a different priced/classed cabin.
