Can you still take "free" cash advances in the casinos?

I am going on the Carnival Miracle in November. Last time I cruised Carnival (2010), you could simply add money to your "account" at a slot machine (that money coming from your credit card attached to your Sail and Sign card) and then you just go to the cashier and "cash out" - voila - free cash advance.

 

On Celebrity earlier this year, there was a fee to do this. So, I was wondering if Carnival still allows this transaction to take place for free.

You NEED to play a few pulls at the slot machine otherwise the casino computer WILL cut you off after a few times of just taking out money without playing. Just go to a penny slot and play the minimum.
