Are these included in the cost?

 

1) The pastries at the "The Patisserie" ??

 

2) The golf simulators?

3) Do they still give out medals for shuffleboard/putting tournaments?

 

4) Can you take the pizza's "to-go" ?

 

5) The last Princess cruise I was on had a sale on "Debarkation" morning on photos for 1/2 off $$$. Is this common or was that a rare incident?

I don't know about shuffle board specifically, but because I love ping pong I can tell you that they do give out medals for the ping pong tournaments along with prizes for the top three. Usually they give you some logo stuff.

While the pizzaria on the Sun (and presumably the others) does not permit "take-out", they do deliver via room service. It takes a while though.

What things can you bring on a cruise? For the Western Caribbean what shore excursions would you suggest, and how do you arrange them?

On our last Western cruise, we went to Paradise Beach at Cozumel. We just took a cab and spent the day - wonderful beach and free. We did the Tulum Mayan Ruins on a Princess excursion and if that interests you, it's a wonderful excursion. If you haven't been in Grand Cayman before, I would suggest Stingray City and there are several ship excursions to choose from. Dunns River Falls at Ocho Rios, Jamaica or if you are going to Montego Bay, we loved the Jungle River Tubing excursion, also booked through Princess.
