Venice: Need help with overnight stop

We will be in Venice from 2pm Thursday to 2 pm Friday

 

We would like to see Murano, Burano St Marks & the Doges palace.

If we have time my husband would like to go the the gondola restoration shop.

What is the best way to arrange this? Can we do the islands the first afternoon?

Buy a 24hr Vaparetto pass and its very doable. Yes you should be able to do Murano and Burano the first afternoon.

I would also go for prepaid timed admission to the Doges on the second day...either a regular tour or the secret itineries tour..whichever fits you timeframe and interests..but do make it for as early as possible.
