Winters in NZ Posted September 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2012 Our past few cruises have been on HAL, however we did take the Dawn 5 years back. This next one leaves Canada for Tampa in late October, however we do stop in Boston for Halloween, but I also realize that the distance getting from Boston to NYC isn't that lengthy, although we don't arrive in Manhattan until Nov.2. I suppose the trick is to get more traffic into the Dawn's casino, and a great attempt by NCL to avoid a hefty port fee for 2 nights in either Boston or NYC. Double port days, but one night could possibly be one method of extending the stay in a great port, as is being done in Quebec City. We would have really enjoyed 2 days in either Boston or NYC. Anyways, c'est la vie, I suppose. Perhaps The Great Pumpkin has the final determination . Based on all the ports being offered, especially Charleston and Key West, it will still be an enjoyable cruise.
biker@sea Posted September 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2012 I think it takes 12 hrs just to round Cape Cod and Nantucket out of Boston .
