sheffield Posted September 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2012 I have been watching the prices on this cruise for a couple of weeks and am surprised that the suites are still so expensive 3 weeks out, ranging from $4000 for a mini suite to over $11,000 for the Royal suite. I usually sail with Celebrity and wondered if this was normal for Royal Caribbean. We got a great deal with them in May, $6000 for an 11 night Med cruise in the Royal suite. The cruise leaves out of Boston and we are Massachusetts residents so had been hoping for a good deal this close to the sailing date. Thanks for any information you can give me with this
Cheryl H Posted September 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2012 We're on that cruise. A few weeks ago they had a resident discount for our state and the junior suites were 1599 pp. However, I think the junior suites are all reserved now. We booked this cruise back on Valentines Day. Our cabin price never changed. Good luck on your decision. Sorry I can't help you more. We've never been able to wait until the last minute to book. Maybe after retirement. I would love getting a last minute deal. I hope you join us. We have a fun chat on the meet & mingle board.
wrp96 Posted September 21, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2012 I think it's just because that particular cruise/week is so popular and there are so few suites left. If you do decide to book it, we'd love to have you on the roll call and at the meet and mingle.
Cheryl H Posted September 21, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 21, 2012 I just noticed the 11 night and the 8 night New England cruises say 599! You might check those dates and see if that's do-able. 599 is a great price for 11 nights. Not sure what the suites are going for.
