Restricton Price on Wonder on Nov. 25, 2012?

I have booked this sailing a few month ago.

 

Since yesterday, they do have IGT, OGT & VGT restriction fare, very low price.

 

I ask them to change my booking to one of those fare but refused.

 

I booked 6A balcony but VGT is $1,583 less than what I have paid.

I am not so happy because they do have lower price and don't do anything for who booked early. No upgrade, no compenstaion, Nothing because it is already in penalty period.

 

Anyone has different experience?

Would you save any money if you canceled and lost your deposit and re-booked? I have read people have saved some money by going this route, obviously not the full amount but some would be better than nothing.

There are few cruislines that will let you change to a "new bookings only" reservation after the paid in full date.

 

I will point out that with the VGT you may not get the 6A you are looking for. In fact, you have no say at all in what/where your room will be, except that it's guaranteed to be a verandah.

 

The last minute restricted *GT rates are only offered on those cruises that are not selling well. If you want to take the chance, in the future you can wait an see if they are offered before you book. Not all cruises will have them.

I feel your pain. But it states right on the site for these cabins that its for new bookings only. I think it stinks and would not be happy but its their ship and their rules. We are mere customers who pay for their service.
