Zuiderdam Deck 8 cabins potentially noisy

Considering a cruise on the Zuiderdam and one of the cabin and looking at a cabin on Deck 8. Noticed on the desk plan that the deck above is the Lido deck and wondered if with all the activity we may experience noise from this deck especially at night.

 

Anyone stay in a Deck 8 cabin? Did you hear noise from above?

We were on the Zuiderdam and stayed on Deck 8 about 3 cabins from the glass elevator. Never heard any noise as we were under the walkway going into Lido. I thought it was a great location

We've had Westerdam 8010, Zuiderdam 8021, Noordam 8009, and Nieuw Amsterdam 8057. The only significant noise we heard from above was on the N.A. for about 90 minutes on the night of the dessert extravaganza.

 

Anywhere under the carpeted area you will not have a problem.

 

If you're back under the aft pool deck you may hear lounge chairs being dragged around early in the morning when they clean the deck.

I would think any where around the middle pool area, you will hear some chair scraping during the day, but nights are quiet. Same with being under the aft pool area.

We were on the Zuiderdam last month in 8090, 8092, and 8094.

No one complained of any noise. We had early risers who were awake before 5 am, and late risers who slept in until 11 and went to sleep after 1 or 2 am.

We were also on Deck 8, midship and other than the very first night when we thought we heard people running above us we slept very well. I do not think you will have any problems, we didn't and loved our cabin. Would not hesitate to book Navigation Deck again.
