FredT Posted September 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2012 For years my wife and I looked at the Star Clippers, but always shied away due to the "children factor". (Resulting in more Princess/RCL/NCL/Carnival cruises than I want to remember) Now that we are "empty nesters" I start looking at the brochures Star Clippers send us, and I see nothing but Caribbean or European/Med itineraries. While I understand the issues, I am wondering if anyone has heard of any possible return to either the Far East or Pacific ? (Before we break and book them on one of the major cruise lines!) Pavovsky Posted September 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2012 If I am not mistaken the Far East is out due to the risks from pirates off the coast of Africa. I also recall someone mentioning that the cost of flying to the likes of Tahiti makes the pacific cruises too expensive for punters. This is only guess work so probably best to contact star clippers directly.
