Travel from Brooklyn cruise terminal to JFK

A few people have commented about transport between JFk and Brooklyn cruise terminal. When travelling to the cruise I think a taxi or car is definitely the best plan - the cruise terminal is not easy to get to by public transport. However when finishing the cruise public transport is an easy option provided you have light luggage and plenty of time. There is a sign at the terminal showing you the way to the bus - a block to walk to the bus stop. You take the bus as far as it goes - into Brooklyn - and then you take the subway/Airtrain to JFK.

We had a 6pm flight and with two small cases we did not want to go sightseeing after our cruise so instead we stayed on board until just after 10am having a liesurely breakfast and watching the activity of people disembarking and fresh stores being loaded. We then did the immigration/customs check and our journey out to the airport probably took a couple of hours all up. We only had a short wait before we could check in and relax airside.

Not for everyone but for those who have the time and can manage their luggage it is a good option (and cheap)
