georgiagirls Posted May 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2005 :) Inspiration 08-01-05 L@@king for a hotel in Tampa for the one night prior to the cruise. L@@king for a very reasonable (cheap) hotel since we will only arrive in time for a little dinner and time for bed. Considered renting a car in Georgia and dropping off in Tampa but can't seem to locate a nice hotel close to rental car place and then does the hotel shuttle to the port ??? We'd appreciate any info, Thanks in Advance ...
Rare boards Posted May 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2005 Just scroll down a ways and you will find a thread called "Hotel suggestions for Tampa". Cracker Ken has done a lot work in putting together very good information concerning what Hotels are good and in good locations.
signman Posted May 21, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2005 Go for a 3 or 4 star on Priceline in the Airport zone, and just use the money you save to pay for a cab if you have to.
tidyoyster Posted June 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2005 We booked the Courtyard Marriott online for $89. It's about 2 miles from the port. I believe the shuttle is free. Good luck!

cathyoo Posted June 4, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 4, 2005 We loved our Inspiration cruise. How many in your party? We did a pre-cruise stay at Chase Hotels. They shuttle to the pier and offer free breakfast. Have a wonderful time.
