carribbean princess, dolphin deck? best time?

We want to book a mini suite, but on the dolphin deck can you see just onto the balcony or into the room? On the emerald deck do you here things going on the floor below you? Also, Which week is better the 1st or 2nd week in Dec. We are thinking the 2nd week might have more kids being closer to the holiday vacation.
