Boy what can i saw... truly a relaxing voyage from SF to Vancouver with a short stop in ketchikan... the ship was wonderful we had a balcony in CC room 1070...the cabin stewart Ralph was just great he did everthing just perfect from the morning to the early evening...welcome champagne was a nice touch the decks seem to be in great shape no real signs of being worn...i guess if you go over it with a fine tooth comb you'll find signs of wear and tear but from my vantage point we went to relax and thats exactly what we got...our waiter Martinho was really nice and treated us with great care and respect, we truly enjoyed going to dinner every night and listening to the "truly beautiful" womans quartet as we enjoyed or dinner. They are just as beautiful as the music they make. The food was a 4 out of 5, the midnight buffet was set up really nice in the manhattan dining room and included chilled lobster from the evenings lobster night. Overall it was a great experience i will forever travel on Celebrity they really know how to treat their customers... only problem is when we arrived in vancouver three ships arrived together, the Summit, Mercury and Statenmam, we took our time getting a cab walking around the pier...Don't do it... the line to the cabs took us 1 1/2 hours. When we finally got in the cab the line was 3 times as long so i assume it took some people well over 2 maybe 3 hours to get a cab... you may want to think about getting an airport transfer from the ship line...just a tip... aloha

WELCOME BACK Totallycruizin!!

You had my Martinho as your waiter!!! I love him. He was our waiter on our 4/17 Mercury cruise.

I'm so glad you had a great time. We also enjoyed Mercury.

We will be sailing Summit in July Seward to Vancouver and we do have Celebrity Transfers. Now I'm glad we do.

Thanks for the recap.

We were on the cruise before you. Great time! We were in 1046 and also had Ralph. He was great.!

We were told that they had changed the itinerary for that cruise and you were going to Seattle without any shops. Guess someone was spreading the wrong info.

Welcome back.

My wife and I just got off the same cruise on 5/20 as well. We flew to Oakland from Phoenix, and sailed up to Ketchikan. It was great. Relaxing. Everything was perfect. We were in room 9060 (forward, starboard side). Our stateroom attendant was Socorro. He was great. Didn't matter what time we left our room, he always had it made up.

The thing that really got our attention (mainly mine), was the food. The steak, prime ribs, etc.... All of the meat was tender and cut like butter. Always cooked to order. I ordered medium rare, and believe me... it was perfect! Every time! Our waitress was Anna from Poland. Words cannot begin to express how wonderful she is. Not just as a waitress, but everything about her is perfect. My wife always called her my girlfriend.

Anyways.... yeah, disembarking in Vancouver wasn't to fun since all three ships arrived at once. The cab line.... yeah. Hopefully they can fix that for future ship entries.

As for the whole Seattle thing. Yeah, this cruise was a "re-positioning cruise" for the Mercury. It sailed from Vancouver Friday night late (saw it leaving from our hotel room). They arrived in Seattle Saturday morning to pick up new passengers to start their summer cruises from Seattle to Alaska.

We were next to you in cabin 1064. Yes, Ralph was great! Our few requests came with

smiles and quick action.

The cruise was a lot of fun and very relaxing. We left via a Vancouver-bus-tour with an

end at the airport. Disembarkation was a breeze for my cabin.

There were a few disappoining meals (one lunch, one dinner). But that means that they

were OK-good; the rest were very good. And the meal service was excellent.

The dealers in the casino taught us craps, and told us where NOT to bet. They were the

highlights of the cruise.

Will do it again, if there's at least one more stop.

I see you sailed on the Mercury in cabin 1046. Can you tell me how the layout differed from the cabin facing the other direction? Also, do you happen to have a picture of the interior of the cabin? Did you find it to be noiser?
