Altun Ha Mayan site ruins/River Wallace excursion

I will be in the Carnival Legend on 12/9. I was wondering if anyone has done the Altun Ha Mayan site ruins/River Wallace excursion through a private tour company? All of the ones that I have researched only do the Altun Ha ruins with a Belize city tour. We like the idea of doing the boat ride through a tropical rainforest and seeing the ruins. But Carnival charges $86 pp. Just wandering if anyone has done this excursion cheaper with another tour company?

helpful hint I received from other cruisers- Belize is one country you don't want to take a chance missing the boat because you take a long private excursion-hth.

For an excursion all day like this- sometimes it's better to be on the safe side and pay for the extra cost of the excursion for peace of mind rather than missing the last tender back

I am on the Liberty out of Miami on the 17th of November and looked for this exact excursion and did not come across this website. So I purchased from Carnival, oh well. :rolleyes:
