Thanks for sharing the details. We are still a year out from our cruise but wanted to get started on researching different ports/excursions. Just curious - when did Carnival post the Tracy Arm Fjord small boat excursion for your cruise? I just want to make sure that I don't miss out on that.
Your review was very informative. We will be on the same ship (Miracle) next year in June sailing from SF to Alaska. Will be cruising with my daughters aged 14 & 19. Just had a couple of questions:
How was the weather/temperature in June in the Alaska ports?
Can you please provide information on the excursions that you did: helicopter in Juneau to Mead Glacier , the husky dog sled pull and whale excursions? We are interested in doing something similar. Did you book these excursions through Carnival or did you book on your own?
Our cruise is from 12/17-12/28 so we will be back home for New Years. But I
am sure it will still be busy because of Christmas. Last year we did a Christmas cruise on RCCL which we enjoyed so we are prepared for the craziness.
It's been more than 8 years since we last sailed on the Divina. We just booked a 11 night cruise on the Divina for this December during Christmas. Just had some questions:
* Do they do anything special for Christmas (Christmas themed games/trivia, etc)?
* Are there themed nights like white or flower power?
* Do they have different shows each evening in the main theater?
Do you need to know how to swim in order to do this excursion? My family is interested in doing the waterfalls but we are not swimmers. We have done Dunn River Falls in Jamaica, not sure if it is similar
Just wondering - do you need to know how to swim in order to visit the Damajagua Waterfalls? We would love to see the water falls but are not swimmers.
I just booked the 8 Days Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Magic sailing out of Norfolk in June. This is our first time on the Magic. I was wondering if there are any “secrets”, anything special, not-to-be missed, or tips to know about the Magic.
Just wondering whether there are any recent cruisers that used the Cedar Grove parking lot without any break-in/damage issues. Does anyone have any alternative parking suggestions?
