We have already booked (for april of 2006) a Penthouse suite on Riveria

Deck (cat.PH) I now realize that a Premium Suite (Cat.PS) on the aft of

of Caribe deck seems much larger...My questions are 1. is that balcony

on the aft of the caribe deck exposed or at least partially covered?

and 2. We have never stayed in an aft cabin, what about vibration and

noise? Hope someone out there can help us, we do have a tendency to

spend time on our balcony and room and just relax. Any other comments

would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The aft balconies are fully covered and very private. The only noise is from the wake, and from an air exhaust in the center of the ship. Both are "white noise" and pretty easy to ignore. Neither intrudes on the interior of the cabin. The only vibrations you will feel are when the thrusters are in use while docking and leaving port. Those are quite noticeable, but last only a few minutes at most.

We had a PH suite on the Riviera Deck (401) and prefer that to an aft cabin although you will find others who prefer the aft to the side. The balcony on both is about the same size, depending on which deck you are on. We like to watch islands off to the side and from the back you see a lot of wake.

If I had a choice, though, I would pick the Riviera deck, and I would choose port side.

I should also mention that our balcony was fully covered and extremely private; it could not be seen from above, from below, or from adjoining cabins to the side. Part of the day the balcony was in sun because of the angle and part of the day it was in shade. Nice.

Thank you guys for the replies, think will we stick with the PH suite we

booked on the Riveria deck PH415. Will try for an aft on our next cruise

heard they tend to get booked up very fast, I guess they are that

popular. Again thank you.
