Vancouver to Victoria

How do I get from Vancouver to Victoria and then to Butchart Gardens (for a one day trip)? How long is the trip?

If you rent a car, drive to Tswassen and catch a ferry over to the island. The trip is 90 minutes on the water and about 60 minutes waiting. Then tack on 60 minutes to 90 minutes for traffic. So you are looking at about 4 hours for one way travel. If you take a bus tour, it will be about the same but you may not have to wait as long at the ferry terminal.

check out Pacific Coach Lines http://www.pacificcoach.com/ If you're going to do the one day tour, I think this would be the best option. We picked up the coach in Vancouver, drove to Tsawwassen - straight on to the ferry....easy as....
