Where to dive???

DH is trying to decide if the diving is better in Aruba, Curacao or St. Kitts. He can only dive in two of the three ports...which would you choose and why? TYIA for all the help:D

Curaçao is way better than Aruba. Haven't been to St. Kitts yet, so can't comment on that location.

Leave out Aruba. Not sure why but Aruba has never impressed me with diving which is surprising since Curacao and Bonaire are so great. He will be very happy diving Curacao and St. Kitts.

I don't know what the experience of the previous post's was

 

but often folks base their recommendations on a one time experience

 

I've dove each of these locations, several times, using different operators. Each of these locations have MANY different dive sites and the conditions can never be predicted ... but a local expert can read them and decide where 2 go based on them.

 

I've had GREAT dives at each place, and average dives as well ... any dive is better that a no-dive day, right? (well, maybe not but let's not get into that)

 

The problem, as a one day visitor, is convincing a dive operator it is worth their effort to take you to where the conditions tell them will be the best dive today, as compared to what you carry in as 'the best dive according to CC' (and time restrictions)

Definitely Curacao. I highly recommend The Dive Bus, you will love them!

 

Was not at all impressed with Aruba and would not dive there again.

 

Never been to St Kitts.

Which ever you decide, safe diving and have a GREAT cruise!

I haven't been to the other two ports yet, but they're coming up on my cruise later this year. St Kitts with Kenneth was incredible. The diver master brings a stylus under water and writes things down if you don't know what the flora/fauna is.

 

I plan a beach/snorkel trip in Aruba but want to dive Curacao and La Dominica....
