charmary Posted May 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2004 What am I doing wrong? I read all the message here that say they have gotten Celebrity to honor the coupon even through they have booked their cruise before the coupon came out. I had my TA call and they turned her down. I sent an E:mail and was told they would get back to me. Haven't heard back in 5 days. And I called myself and haven't gotten them to honor it. We are on the Infinity 11/25 which is stated as one of the coupon dates. Please give me some guidance as to how to get them to honor the coupon. Danno Posted May 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Funny this just came up...not two minutes ago my TA called and told me she had called X and they said that the coupon must go in with the DEPOSIT, she inturn replied that the deposite had been sent already, the girl from X indicated that was fine and requested that it be mailed ASAP and not to wait for final payment. This is what I detest about coupons...in an effort to secure bookings X produces these programs that penalize the long term, proven customers who book well in advance. If this is successful they could lose 5 established customers to get three new ones!! By the way...seeing as the TA takes a beating on these coupons, we get $175 Canadian ($125 US), I take a $150 credit and leave the TA with $25. It only seems fair. Rustynail Posted May 6, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 6, 2004 I must admit that I took advantage of this generous coupon when I sailed the Century in December. Thanks to Celebrity for treating us poor Canadians so well!!! Johanna7 Posted May 6, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 6, 2004 We only received a coupon for $50 US or $75 Canadian per cabin. Also the same for a friend. Danno, you are most generous to your TA. You must be an ideal client.
ccletzgo Posted May 6, 2004 #9 Share Posted May 6, 2004 My coupon was honored, no problem. It took about 12 days. I didnt ask, I just sent the info to my travel agent. Sometimes its better to NOT call and ask. Just send it in! Customer service people have to quote the rules. They dont have the authority to bend them. This goes for everything, not just coupons. nealberk Posted May 7, 2004 #10 Share Posted May 7, 2004 Be careful about using multiple Newt coupons. The last person who did had the following results: http://63.217.28.3/images/other2/GLwave1.WMV
