cindygad Posted October 13, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2012 We were on the S class ships last and the dancing option was small and in the open foyer or main atrium. It has been a while since we were on the Summit and I was wondering if they still have dancing before dinner and after in the lounge? We love to dance some of the calories of the wonderful food off to make room for dessert of course!
jconeil Posted October 13, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2012 I believe they will have nightly dancing in the Rendevous lounge and in the Revelations lounge up top. There is occasionally dancing before the shows in the Theatre. The bands are usually a duo or trio in the Rendevous. Sometimes they are danceable and sometimes not. The Revelations is usually a DJ with a mix of types of music, seldom of the ballroom variety. The band at the theatre is the one that plays at the shows and this is usually the ballroom type of music. There are frequently dance lessons in the afternoon on sea days, and you can dance there. We were on one ship that had professional dancers teaching (as opposed to a couple from the show crew who usually are the teachers) who booked one of the lounges in the daytime and had ballroom dancing for an hour or so. That was really nice.
