Pat Posted May 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2005 Does anyone know if you can still email someone on board by sending it to............i.e. "Sapphireprincess@princess.com" and putting the name and cabin number on the subject line and it will be delievered to their cabin......I know that two years ago it could be done that way, but I haven't noticed any mention of it lately......Thanks for your help, Pat
Toto2Kansas Posted May 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2005 It can be done just like before. Only problem is that IF it is a real emergency, I don't know if I would count on it being delivered. Most times it is, but in an emergency, I would rely on a more sure fire way to make sure the passenger is notified.
tennisobo Posted May 23, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 23, 2005 We got an e-mail from our son on our last cruise. Just have the sender send the e-mail to shipname@princesscruises.com and include your name and cabin number in the subject line. They e-mail will be delivered to your mailbox outside your cabin. It doesn't have to be an emergency either. :) Have fun!
Pat Posted May 23, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted May 23, 2005 Thanks.....and you're exactly right. I don't think I'd count on it was a true emergency, but I'd its nice to know its still available....even if its just for......."MOM, GO CHECK YOUR EMAIL....." because I'll only check it every couple of days otherwise!!!!! AlaskanNewby Posted May 23, 2005 #7 Share Posted May 23, 2005 Strange...I talked to a Princess rep last week and was told that this service was not available. He said the only way to contact the ship was the 900 phone number.
Toto2Kansas Posted May 23, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 23, 2005 Strange...I talked to a Princess rep last week and was told that this service was not available. He said the only way to contact the ship was the 900 phone number. They don't put the word out about this service. We have used it for years for contact while on a ship. Had several delivered on each sailing. Any ship in the Princess fleet would be addressed as follows: fullnameofship@princesscruises.com such as grandprincess@princesscruises.com sunprincess@princesscruises.com But if you don't put the passengers name and stateroom number in the subject line, it will not be delivered.
