Silly question...soap, shampoo, etc...

Recommended Posts

Just hoping someone could answer this rather silly question...As it is my first cruise - are the ships similar to a hotel room - soap, etc...is provided?

Thanks so much
Jen

We always sail Princess and they have hand lotion, shampoo, and hair conditioner. They used to have them in small plastic shampoos but in the last few years they are now in those squeez containers where you tear a corner of the container and stuff comes out. I find it handier just to take my own things. But yes they do have them on the ship.

Thanks Marilyn I think we will take our own things as well.

Hi Jen,
yes they are a 'floating hotel' and they do provide the items that you asked about but the items might not be something that you like. Wife does not like the combination of shampoo and conditioner, so she brings her own brand of each, to me it did not make much difference.
There is a hair dryer but some do not like the 'air volume provided' (especially if one has very long hair) so some people bring their own.

On our last cruise there was a shampoo and conditioner in separate containers in the dispenser in the shower and we were given a bar of soap.. I personally like and use bath gel, so I will make sure I bring my own next time..
