cupcake8503 Posted October 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2012 I have been going back and forth with myself whether I want to dish out the extra money and hire a day of coordinator (DOC). I am not sure exactly what the coordinator with "A Wedding for You" doesn't do that the DOC will, so I need some opinions. The tasks that I would need done are: set up favor table set up guestbook & card table place silk rose petals along the sides of the aisle That's all I can think of for now. 1. Will the coordinator from "A Wedding for You" do those things? 2. If you hired your own DOC what did you have him/her do? 3. What are some things that the coordinator from "A Wedding for You" WON'T do? Thanks in advance for your help!
Herbaltees Posted October 22, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2012 In my opinion, I don't think you will need a Day of Coordinator unless you have a really, really complicated wedding plan. In which case maybe a carnival wedding may not be for you. Between the carnival coordinator and the one provided by A wedding for you, they will make sure those items get done. Just be sure to tell your carnival wedding planner and your AWFY planner that those are the things you want done. The only thing I know that the neither the Carnival nor AWFY coordinator will do is emcee your wedding (make announcements, introduce the Bride and groom etc.) If you want those things done, you will need to hire the DJ or the social host. HeatherC430 Posted October 22, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2012 I agree with the last poster. The items you have listed should all be able to be done by the coordinater they provide to you. Mine was happy to put out of favors, etc.
