Duty free at Sydney terminal?

Recommended Posts

Hi there :)

Not to sure which terminal you are referring too, but the only terminal in Sydney with duty free is Sydney Airport, neither of the cruise terminals have it.

If you are going on a cruise, the cheapest duty free will be from overseas, especially if you visit Port Vila. Even the cruise ship itself will have cheaper duty free then what Sydney does.

just found out that you cannot get a refund of GSt from NZ government at all regardless of what shopkeepers tell you.

This information comes from NZ High Commission in Canberra, Australia.

So duty free shopping is nonexistant in NZ.

Off topic but...

Ray - I wonder which shop keepers told you in NZ that you can get the GST back?

Very strange that someone who say you can as it has never been possible. Only exports are duty free.

HOWEVER we do have duty free shopping at our airports and you will find their prices are cheaper than Australia particularly for spirits.
