Question about bottled water on Jewel of the Seas

So I was reading that I would not be able to bring any of my own water onto the ship. I was a little bummed because the two cruises on Carnival I would bring one six pack with me for the room and that was all I really needed.

But rules are rules so I went to check out RCI's water packages online. The smallest package is a package of 8 bottles, but does not say what size the bottles are. Does anyone know what size these are? Because around $3.50 a bottle sounds very high to me for a 16 oz.

Thanks!

in reverse order:

their package is for 1 liter bottles

Although their "official" policy says that you cannot bring your own water, I have brought a 12 pack on each of my past cruises with no problem. I purchased the 12 pack and left it in the original manufacturer's shrink wrap. I then put a baggage tag for my stateroom (or 2 of them) on the 12 pack and give it to the stevador with my luggage. The only time that any of the water didnt show up in my stateroom was my cruise on Adventure. Either the stevadors in San Juan helped themselves to a bottle or two or ship's security took a random sample to see if it was, indeed, water.

I'd say that you should buy your 6 pack (or 12 pack) and check it with your luggage. The worst that can happen is that it doesnt show up in your stateroom and you then need to sign up for the water package on board (costs the same as getting it in advance).
