Is there a way to determine the number of passengers in an upcoming cruise?

In advance can you determine how many other passengers will be on a cruise with you?

I guess you could ask your travel agent what the availability is close to the sailig date, or check the Silversea website to see whether all the categories are waitlisted (that's a good indication that the cruise is full). Other than those methods, I'm not sure. Expedia might show cabin availability?
