momthecruisedirector Posted November 2, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2012 We are planning a NYC trip in December. I know it's too early to tell what the recovery time will take for New Jersey but am wondering if anyone knows now how Secaucus is looking? We have stayed before since transportation to Manhattan is so easy from there. Thank you, in advance!
Rare mking8288 Posted November 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2012 Compared to nearby Hoboken on the waterfront, Secaucus had it relatively easy, damages from flooding, wind & power outage - mostly restored since. Here's add'l eNews info-link: http://esecaucus.com/2012/11/sandy-aftermath/ There is a chance of a Nor-easter next week, so ... Post Sandy, all bets are off and odds changed - for December, we could face a blizzard if you subscribe to the global climate change & warming theories. Just plan & enjoy your trip - it is what it is.
momthecruisedirector Posted November 3, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted November 3, 2012 Thanks - that is the plan, to go with the flow once we get there. I didn't want to bother the hotel employees this week if things were horrendous. And thank you for the news link!
