ING Marathon January 27, 2013

My cruise leaves the same day as this Marathon? Since the start and end point is so close to the entrance to the port of Miami, will most of the roads be closed? Will we have any issues getting on the ship?

We booked a room near the Airport the night before, and are returning our rental to MIA and taking the free shuttle to the pier to avoid any traffic or detours!

I'm running the Miami half...then boarding the breeze! I'm hoping to still get to the ship by 10:30! Race starts by 6:15am... There shouldn't be too many issues...

We actually stayed in Miami last year, on the weekend of the Marathon, downtown, almost at the start

 

Marathon ended early, crowds dissipated, cab driver knew alternate routes - no major delays
