elektrawmn Posted November 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2012 First time on Norwegian... we have a standard balcony. How many outlets available in the room? 1 in the room and 1 in the bathroom? Extension cord or power strip needed? Thanks!
modfanmike Posted November 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2012 There is one in the bathroom marked "electric shaver only" as it cannot handle heavy loads. There is one 120 volt and one 240 volt outlet at the counter across from the bathroom where the coffe pot is. There is another 240 volt outlet at the desk by the balcony door. I bring a power strip and an extention cord as I use a fan for sleeping. You can buy an inexpensive adapter for the 240 volt outlets to plug in chargers for electronics. If you read the information on the chargers, most of them will operate from 100-250 volts input. Here is the power strip that I use. It also has usb ports: http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Mini-Surge-Protector-Charger/dp/B0015DYMVO/ref=sr_1_15?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1352065837&sr=1-15&keywords=power+strip
Rare mking8288 Posted November 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Here's one of the many earlier threads - search for more, on outlets We've been using the Belkin for 5 years now, loved it & I leave several USB chargers behind and only take the "non-standard" mini or micro usb cords along. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1705582&highlight=electrical+outlets Outlet adapters and power converters (220/240 volts to 110 volts) are generally available locally at Target, Walmart, Brookstone, Radio Shacks & Home Depot - Here's one universal travel adapter for US plugs to over 150 countries - http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-203367560/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=power+adapters&storeId=10051#customer_reviews, online priced @ $19.
